Hi everyone,
Once again I must apologize for being so slack in updating my blog.It has been a busy and eventful Summer.I have been busy with orders, finally gave up and got glasses,so now I can see...LOL.Also my husband lost one of his Uncles unexpectedily on July 4th.My husband also had some health issues which really scared me but with lots of prayers everything turned out fine and the meds the doctor has him on has worked great.Ok,enough of that and on to my wondering part of my post title.I have been wondering if there are any bloggers or blog readers out there in NC that love primitives like I do.I know of some already but I get so surprised to find people on Facebook that live close to me and they too love primitives.Sometimes when I do shows and people that don't get primitives or just plain don't like primitives, give that awful look or say things that are not nice,it really gets to me and I wonder....am I the only one that likes primitives?Well never mind me I just wonder sometimes and would love to know what other people think.Well now lets get onto something better....Fall prims.I have been working on Fall prims since back in July.I really don't know how I have not been seeing scarecrows and pumpkins in my sleep...LOL.I thought I would share some pictures of some of the things I have made.I made several of the flat pumpkins, they are not real flat but look really cute in a bowl or trencher. They would also look great on a wreath.I have made several different scarecrows and I think the Happy Fall Y'all Scarecrow is my favorite.I was so pleased with how it turned out.I have made 2 so far and I am working on a 3rd one for a friend.I really loved how it looked hanging on my china cabinet door but of course I have not made one for myself but that's the way it goes...LOL.I made the Happy Fall Y'all scarecrow from a pattern by Raggedy Pants Designs.I also have to thank Jackie from TFC Folkart for sharing how to make the cute JOL pillow.Jackie is so talented and so very nice.I was so pleased with how the pillows turned out.Yes,I made more pumpkins....Patty Pan pumpkins,I made several of them and they are so cute piled in a bowl.I made then from a pattern by Sweet Meadows Farm.Oh yes, more scarecrows,I love scarecrows.I made a cute little scarecrow called Po Scarecrow.I made it from a pattern by Chestnut Junction. It looks so cute sitting just about anywhere or hanging.I loved how he looked sitting in my old sifter box. No,didn't get to make one for myself.I also made some really nice felt pumpkins.I made them in 2 different colors of orange, cream and black.I was very pleased with how they turned out.Well that is all I have to share for now.As always if you see anything you might be interested in or you would like to talk about primitives with me please email me tammywellman14@yahoo.com.Thank you so much for visiting my blog and please check back because I will be posting more pictures of more Fall prims over the weekend,I promise I will...LOL.Have a nice weekend!

A great swap with a great friend
Hi everyone,
I hope you have enjoyed the first day of Summer. It was a nice, warm day here in my part of NC with temps in the 80s.It is to be the same way all weekend but we could get a storm on Sunday.I hope not because I don't like storms.
I just had to make a post about the swap I did with a really good friend Lecia Stevenson from Farmhouse Prims.Lecia is a really sweet person and she makes the best primitives.I love everything she makes!I love doing swaps with Lecia, she is a great swap partner and a great friend!I just had to post some pictures of all the primitive goodies Lecia sent to me.I was like a kid on Christmas opening up that package...LOL.I have been wanting a Prairie dress for a long time and I always said I would make one but of course I never did.I rarely make anything for myself.I asked Lecia if she would swap one of her Prairie dress and bonnet sets and she said yes.I was so happy!I love it so much!It is going in my bedroom.Lecia makes the best Prairie dresses and bonnets. She also gave me one of her sweet little round head Prairie dolls.I love it!Lecia always spoils me and sends extra goodies and one of the extra was another cute little Prairie doll.I love it and the colors of the clothes! She knows I love Prairie dolls!I love anything Prairie themed. That was not all,she also sent me a pretty pumpkin candle mat that I love!It is hand painted.I can't wait for Fall so I can put it out. No,that is not all,she sent me one of her Vintage Top Hat arrangements. It is beautiful and has a battery operated tea lite in the top.It will look great with my Christmas decor.Yes,there is more, she sent me 2 yummy smelling tarts.I love to burn tarts!Lecia, you were too good to me!I love it all!Thank you so very much for swapping with me and for being a great friend to me!Please stop by Lecia's blog http://farmhouseprims.blogspot.com to see all the great primitives she makes.I am a happy girl!My weekend has started off to be a good one!I hope you will have a great weekend too!

Pay It Forward 2013
Hi everyone,
First I would like to apologize for being away for so long.Things were really busy for me through the Fall and up until after Christmas. There was also alot of sickness and 4 deaths in our family. It was a crazy time.I do hope that everyone had a nice Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Ok,on to my blog title for today.I am sure you all in blog land have heard about the Pay It Forward, well I have decided to join in.I think it is so nice to receive a little something in the mail when you are not expecting it.I know I have been down at times and just to receive a card in the mail can really lift my spirits.Any way here is how it works:
2013 Creative Pay It Forward
the first 5 people to comment on this post will receive something from me sometime this year.I don't know exactly what it will be,maybe one of my handmade primitives,a candle,a pin keep???I promise it will be something nice, that I myself would like to receive. There is a catch to this, the first 5 people MUST make the same offer on their blog and follow through with the giving. Also when you leave your comment please let me know that you want to join in the pay it forward. This is only open to USA and Canada bloggers only.I hope you will want to join in on the fun with me.I also promise to be back soon with some pictures of things I am making right now.Have a nice week!
