Whatcha Workin On Wednesday

Hi everyone,

I am finally getting a chance to post my Whatcha Working On Wednesday.I finished the bunny for my sister and I thought I would post the finished picture of it.It is just a little stained because my sister is not crazy about primitives. She let me stain the body so it would look like a natural brown color but she would not let me "dirty up"(her words...LOL) the clothes. It was all I could do not to stain those clothes...LOL.I made the bunny from a Sunnyknoll pattern.I have also been doing some painting on some wood trenchers that my hubby and I made over the weekened.I got the instructions for making them from Char's blog The Pickled Pepper Patch...I love her blog and she has the best patterns and projects and she takes you through them step by step.My hubby is not a wood worker...LOL....he is great with cars...can tell you what is wrong with them just from listening to them, fix them, paint them etc. but give the poor guy a piece of wood and he is lost...LOL.When I saw the trencher project I knew I had to have one so I started the sweet talk and even made him look at the instructions on Char's blog and he said ok we will give it a try and Saturday we went to Lowes and got the wood and made 2 trenchers, one for me and one for my friend.I was pleased with how they turned out and proud of my hubby too!He is even wanting to try making something else now that he sees how Char gives the step by step instructions so hopefully I will be getting more prim goodies!I have been in the process of painting the trenchers and the picture shows the first one I started painting yesterday.I will post the finished pictures of them.My friend is getting one of them for her birthday.Well that is what I have been working on other than stuffing some birds to go on springs.I better get back to that painting.

Have a great day!

Prim hugs,

Tammy

If I could make those I would want to dirty up the clothing too!
You and your hubby did a great job on that trencher...he has quite a useful gift with cars (you are so very lucky) and now he will be working with wood! Girl, he is definately a keeper!
