Valentines Day Primitives

Hi everyone,

I am a little behind on my postings and I so wanted to do better with my postings but I have been really busy for the past few weeks.I have had my normal routine and errands plus doctor appointments and you know how it is when you go to the doctor, you never know how long you will be there.I have also been busy making Valentines Day primitives which I delivered a couple of weeks ago and have been working on Spring and Easter things and took a few to one of the shops last week.I haven't even had time to do my Valentines Day decorating but I plan to do that next week.So hopefully next week you will get to see pictures of my Valentines decor. For now I want to share some pictures of the Valentines Day primitives I recently made.I love making stitchery pillows, one I made says Forever My Valentine.I also made some cute Heart and Bird Ornies. They were made from a Liberty Creek pattern.I made another stitchery pillow,My Heart. It was made from a Chestnut Junction pattern.I made 2 cute Valentine Stockings. They were made from a Chestnut Junction pattern and I made a Valentines Day Prairie Doll. She has on her heart and Sweet Annie pin.I made the pin with a pin back so it can be removed after Valentines Day and then she can be kept out year round. You could also wear the pin yourself.I made some of the pins for one of the shops that I make things for.I also put a tag on the doll that says Love from my Prairie heart.I pinned the tag on with a rusty safety pin so it could be removed after Valentines Day.I enjoyed making the Valentines primitives and now I am enjoying making Spring and Easter primitives. My sewing table has bunny bodies everywhere...I guess they really do multiply...LOL.I hope you will enjoy seeing my pictures.I am off to do some more bunny sewing!

Happy New Year!

I just wanted to take a minute to wish everyone a very Happy New Year!I sure am looking forward to the new year.Last year was not an entirely bad year for me as my business was good,I gained another shop to make things for and I made some very good friends and I am so very thankful for all of that! Also my husband's job has stayed steady with only a few cut hours so we are both thankful for that.I guess the only thing that wasn't good was my Mother-in-law's health issues and my niece's health issues.I pray that both of them will be better in the new year.I don't really make resolutions because they are so hard to stick too so I am going to try my best to get healthy by eating healthier and exercising,I want to learn to make penny rugs,I also want to make my business better and try my best to do more shows in the new year.Of course I want to do more things to my house and come Spring we will be putting in new bathrooms so that will be a big project.I also want to learn more about the computer and hopefully my nephew will be willing to help his dumb old Auntie...LOL.I want to make my blog more exciting and try my best to regularly make posts.I would also like to have some giveaways and maybe a swap or two.I love doing swaps and it has been a long time since I have joined in on any. Most of all I want to try to be a better person. My Daddy was the best person you would ever want to meet.He was always kind and giving and always thinking of others.I try to be like him and hopefully I can be more like him.

I also wanted to share a picture of some snowmen that I made for Christmas gifts. They seemed to go over really well.I just wish I would have made one for myself.I love snowmen!I have already put away all of my Christmas decorations but out came all of my snowmen and they will stay out until I put out Spring things.

Well it won't be much longer and the New Year will be here.We are real exciting around here,Mark is watching a movie and I am here on the computer and I am sure we will be in bed before midnight but whatever you are doing to bring in the new year I hope you will be safe.Goodbye 2011,Hello 2012!Happy New Year!

Christmas At My House 2011

Hi everyone,

I want to apologize for not posting in such a long time.I have been really busy with orders for the shops and then finishing a really big order that I just finished so finally I am finished with orders for 2011.We also had to be with my Mother-in-law right after Thanksgiving. She had to have surgery at Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem,NC.She has bone cancer and had some problems with her ovaries. They said a mass had formed from scar tissue and started to grow into her intestines so they wanted to remove it and there was a possibility it was cancer too.Thank the Lord her surgery went well and it was not cancer.Prayers were answered. She came home last Monday and is still recovering but doing some better. She goes back for a check up next week and I pray it will be good.

I finally got all of my Christmas decorating done.I didn't do as much this year.I went the less is more route...LOL.I am pleased with how it looks. We didn't do as much outside either. We just put the lighted holly garland on the columns on our front porch and hung icicle lights across the front of the porch.I put my Christmas wreath on the front door, put out my Christmas flags and decorated my old wood gate.I just put greenery garland, red berries and a Christmas sign.I did take some pictures of my inside decorating and I thought I would post them for you to see.I haven't put out my snowmen yet.I thought I would wait and put them out after Christmas so I would have a different look for the Winter.

I am not finished sewing for the year.I am working on some Christmas gifts.I hope to have everything finished before Christmas...LOL.I still have not wrapped one gift and I still need to finish buying a couple of gifts but I plan to do that within the next few days.I guess I will just take one day and do nothing but wrap gifts.I also still have baking to do and I know I will be spending the few days before Christmas in the kitchen getting ready for Christmas dinner at my Mom's house. We will also be going to my in-law's Christmas Eve,if my Mother-in-law is feeling up to it.

Well I better go for now and get to my sewing.I hope you will enjoy seeing my pictures.I hope you will have a very Merry Christmas!

Pilgrims

Hi everyone,

I am sorry it has been so long since I last posted but I have been so busy with orders that I haven't had much time for anything else.I wanted to make a quick post to share a picture of the Praying Pilgrims that I just finished last week.I was very pleased with how they turned out.I made them from a pattern by Hill Kountry Krafts. They would make a nice centerpiece for a dining room table for Thanksgiving dinner.I would love to make a set for myself but I doubt I will have time to with moving on to making Christmas primitives. So now I need to play catch up and give my house a good cleaning and finish my Fall decorating.I have only been doing a little at a time so hopefully I will get it all finished and can post some pictures.I guess I better go for now and get back to my sewing room.

I am finally getting a chance to post some more pictures of a couple of more things I have made.I love making Fall and Halloween primitives.I am having so much fun making pumpkin dolls. This one is Jack-O-Lin.She is 36 inches,so she is a big gal.She has a rusty key necklace, has her pet crow on her shoulder and Sweet Annie in her dress pocket.I made her from a pattern by Cats in the Barn.I love making stitcheries and this Halloween Sampler is one of my favorites.I like how it looks in the black wooden frame. It is 8x10.If you want to know more about these primitives just email me tammywellman14@yahoo.com and I will give you all the details.I just finished a couple of Halloween candle mats but I still need to take pictures of them.I also have a witch doll in the works so hopefully over the weekend I will be able to post pictures of it and the candle mats.I am wanting to start decorating for Fall but I normally don't start until the first of Sept. so I am trying my best to hold off but at least my sewing room is looking like Fall...LOL.I am so ready for some cool,Fall days but it looks like it will be awhile yet so for now I will just stay inside where it is cool and make my Fall primitives.I hope you are staying cool and looking forward to those cool days of Fall!
